3GSolar is an international company with headquarters located in the Har Hotzvim Hi-Tech Park. It is a leader in the development of solar cells that can be produced in any color and transparency (DSC \u2013 Dye Solar Cells). These are unique cells capable of replacing the existing silicon cells on the market today. <\/p>\n

\"3gsolar\"<\/a>As a result, the company’s solar panels can come in any color and be installed anywhere, even behind trees or buildings that hide the panels. The company’s panels are every architect’s dream \u2013 they can replace the standard silicon panels that can disfigure the appearance of the building \u2013 these are panels that can come in any color, shape or transparency and even improve the appearance of the building. <\/p>\n

According to the company, when sunlight is at a low angle, its panels are more efficient and produce more kilowatt-hours compared to competing panels.<\/p>\n

In addition, the company specializes in miniature solar panels for our electronic devices, so we will never have to replace their batteries. The solar panels can absorb light and generate energy even from office fluorescent light and operate for about ten years without batteries. About a year ago, the company won an investment of $2.5 million from a large Chinese conglomerate, and the cooperation between the bodies is in full swing. At the beginning of its journey, the company also won an investment from the Israel Electric Corporation. <\/p>\n


\nBrightSource Energy: Giant solar systems that are already operating in California<\/strong><\/p>\n

BrightSource Energy is an American company with offices and operations around the world, including in the Har Hotzvim Hi-Tech Park. It is developing a solar system called LPT that is capable of producing solar energy as a substitute for electricity and fuel for industries around the world. The intention is that customers’ dependence on energy generated from fuels will open up significantly. BrightSource has large contracts with the two largest electricity companies in California, where its headquarters are also located. <\/p>\n

In fact, BrightSource’s technology makes it possible to generate energy in exactly the same way as in the traditional ways: by creating steam at high temperatures that is capable of operating turbines. But instead of using fuels or nuclear power to create these steam power, BrightSource uses solar energy and converts it through giant mirrors into an energetic power that can replace electricity or fuel, which is also cleaner, more environmentally friendly and more economical to use. <\/p>\n

\"invappah\"<\/a>BrightSource’s technology is the basis today of the largest solar project in the world: the Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System, which is being built and operated in Ivanpah in the Mojave Desert in California (near the border with Nevada). The Ivanpah project, which began in 2010 and is being completed these days, is the first of its kind to supply electricity according to contracts already signed with California’s electricity companies. Besides BrightSource, Google and NRG Solar are also invested in it. <\/p>\n

The project is expected to generate 377 megawatts net of solar energy through fields of mirrors to absorb sunlight and convert it into energy and supply electricity to more than 140,000 homes in California during peak usage hours. It is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 400,000 tons per year. The project was chosen as the project of the year \u2013 the best in the field of solar energy in 2012 \u2013 by the Green Committee in California. The judges recognized the project’s innovation, the clean energy it produces and the jobs that will be created thanks to it. <\/p>\n

BrightSource is also a partner in the flagship project of the State of Israel in the field of solar energy, which is expected to be established within three years: the Ashalim project in the south of the country. The Ashalim solar power plant will be one of the largest of its kind in the world and will have a capacity of 121 MW. The station will be built with an investment of 600-700 million dollars and will operate using a technology called solar tower.

\nGreenSun Energy: The message of savings from Jerusalem<\/strong><\/p>\n

GreenSun Energy is a Jerusalem-based company with headquarters located in the Har Hotzvim Hi-Tech Park. It develops and manufactures a new generation of systems \"green<\/a>solar panels for electricity generation, when its innovative technology is supposed to reduce the cost of electricity generation from solar energy and increase the effectiveness of solar panels. Today, one of the main problems of making the use of solar energy popular and widespread is its relatively high cost. GreenSun, through its innovative technology, is trying to solve this problem. <\/p>\n

The company’s technology was developed by Professor Renata Reisfeld from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
